About Me
Why I read and review books
I started reading very young. I then learnt that I can be off on a journey to anywhere in the world through reading and I was gone. From then on I never looked back. I started reading anything I could get my hands on. Like Matilda I always wanted more to read; this ethos has never left me. Even though I am dyslexic I don't let it stop me.
Back in 2016 my health took a turn for the worst and left me unable to work. Sleep, pain and a body that doesn't want to work properly left me in a bad place. So I turned to books to provide me with the distractions that I needed. A place to escape, to take me on adventures that my body can no longer do. I have always had a passion for learning new things and I read nearly all the genre and I love non-fiction sciences, math, history and many more beside. I wanted more than that, I wanted other people to read and enjoy all the wonderful books that i have loved. So in 2020 I turned my back on television and dedicated my adult time (I am a single parent too) to reading, reviewing and recommending books on social media. I take so much pleasure in marrying up a book with a person who I know would be just as passionate about them as I am.
Then came Netgalley and Advanced reading copies. I know I should really be reading the ever growing 2,000 books I own, not the mention the 12,000 e-books. However the pull of reading and reviewing books BEFORE publication became too much of a draw and now I am dedicated to reading them and listening to them 99% of the time.
so hear starts my book blogging journey into the world of literary love.
