What's wrong with a pet dinosaur by Tony Phillips (Idle brains) 5 stars

Publication date 9/11/21

I picked this book just because of the title and it was a good book to read with my 9 year old daughter and it was brilliant full review to follow. This is the authors debut novel and a brilliant one at that. I am very early on publishing the review for this but as a mother i know that right about now we start to work out what we are getting our kids for Christmas and this book will make a brilliant stocking filler. At the moment there are no sites that are offering a pre-order option so i will be updating the where to buy it section on publication day. So mark it in your calender's like i have. This book would fit a number of prompts for ladyreading365 reading challenge (which is currently live on Facebook as i can't work out how to connect it to the header yet lol, I'm so untechy). Prompts #5 debut author #12 funny book, #15 children's book, #22 includes a poem.

My Review

This children's poetry book was amazing. My 9 year old daughter loved every single poem. she just kept standing up and saying listen to this one, read them out loud and had us all in fits of laughter. It's certainly a book that your child will keep picking up time and time again. We both loved all the pictures in the book one with each brilliant poem. As a mother it made me feel so good seeing my daughter want to read a book over the dreaded tablet and constant YouTube clips. It's great knowing that she will be learning a great skill without her feeling like its a lesson or her even knowing she is learning. She even told me the other day that she wants to write one out to take to school and share it with the rest of the class. I'm so happy I found this book. So much praise to the author and his publishing team for bringing such fun and laughter to my small family. I hope you will all love this book too. Yet again another brilliant author to add to my watch list.
